Clubhouse Summer 2020

Summer holidays 2020 are here and we are so pleased to be able to reopen our doors and offer a range of bookable activities throughout  the school break.

The team at Cotswold Clubhouse have been busy with risk assessments and updating of safety and cleaning protocols in preparation for all of our summer activities. We have followed government guidance outlined for indoor activities and want to give all parents and carers reassurance that we have put in place new steps to ensure children are safe and well looked after. Also, The Clubhouse will also be closed to the general public at this time. We have also drawn up a guideline of new steps in place for our Summer children’s activities, please see further down the page for details and information regarding what will happen at drop off and pick up of children.

If a child displays COVID-19 symptoms whilst at a camp, we will remove them from their session and they will be into an isolation room until they can be collected by their parent or carer. You will be instructed to follow government guidelines for anyone who is suspected to have COVID-19: Contact 111, arrange a test as soon as possible and remain in isolation until you receive your test results. If the test is negative, you can come out of isolation. If the test is positive, you must remain in isolation until fourteen days have passed and inform Cotswold Clubhouse immediately.

We are taking the following steps to ensure the safety of the children, parents and our staff and will continually monitor updated industry and government guidelines:

• Limited spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
• Covid-safe activities.
• The Clubhouse will receive additional cleaning measures and all surfaces and equipment will be treated providing  protection from bacteria and viruses.
• Where possible children will be placed in groups or bubbles of a maximum of 8 – bubble of 15 – please note we cannot guarantee children will be placed in the same group as their friends.
• Children will be informed of the new rules and guidance around social distancing at the start of each day.

• Hand washing and sanitising between each activity, throughout the day.
• During lunch and snack breaks children will remain socially distanced and only with their dedicated group/bubble.
• No sharing of food or drink will be permitted.

• Activities will be adapted to ensure that social distancing guidelines can be maintained.
• All equipment will be appropriately cleaned between use of different groups.

• Good hand washing techniques will be shared with the children at the start of each day and additional signage is displayed in the toilets to promote good hygiene
• Children will be asked to wash their hands between each activity and will have the opportunity to use the toilet facility during these supervised change overs.

• We ask that if any children, parents or family members have shown symptoms of Covid -19 in the last 7 days that you do not attend the holiday club, we are happy to refund any cancellations without notice due to the need to isolate.
• If anyone becomes unwell with a new continuous cough, loss or change of taste, or a high temperature we will contact parents to collect the child and arrangements for temporary supervised isolation form the rest of the group will be made.
• We are required to assist the NHS Track and Trace programme and will inform them if anyone tests positive throughout the duration of the club. We are also required to keep a log of the bubbles/groups for 21 days to assist with Track and Trace.
• Staff will wear appropriate PPE to conduct first aid but this will not prevent us from delivering our standard care and first aid practises.
